Allergen + Dietary Info

If you have any allergies, please carefully check this guide!

I know first-hand the worry allergies cause. One of my 3 little ones suffers from allergies to peanuts and strawberries, and suffered with a cow’s milk protein allergy.
I would love to help you make informed choices about the products baked in Courtney’s Kitchen. If you are adhering to a special diet, or have a food allergy or intolerance, you will find all the information you need below.

In addition to this, a detailed list of allergens can always be requested by email.

Cakes and bakes

Before ordering, each product’s list of ingredients can be requested and each product will have a label on, listing out any allergen ingredients in bold.

Cross-contamination

Please note that all our products are baked fresh in our small kitchen, which handles ingredients used to make all products. While there is a processes in place to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, it is a small kitchen and there is not a segregated production lines, so cross-contamination of ingredients is possible.

The kitchen handles all the main allergens of DAIRY, NUTS, PEANUTS, GLUTEN (WHEAT), EGG,  and SOYA.

If you have a serious allergy to any of these allergens, or one which could cause you to have a major allergic reaction, sadly the only way for you to be 100% safe is not to consume any of the products.

Information for Coeliacs

Gluten Free can be requested and will be made with gluten free and non gluten containing ingredients, however, the kitchen handles ingredients containing gluten.

In the interests of your health and wellbeing, even if it is gluten free in ingredients it cannot claim to be gluten-free.

Religious Dietary Information

None of the products are certified Halal or Kosher. Most products do not use alcohol. Any products that do contain alcohol will be clearly listed on the ingredients label on the product, and in your request form. The white vinegar used in some of our products is distilled white vinegar and not white wine vinegar.

Vegan?

We have a growing interest in vegan products. Vegan products can be requested. Please be assured that we also are aware that some sprinkles and cake decorations are not vegan friendly, and we will not put any of those onto the tops of vegan goodies. I want to ensure that vegans get the same quality taste as non-vegan products, and will try not to charge more for vegan products than our non-vegan range. Sometimes vegan substitutes are more expensive, but I will always endeavour to source non-dairy and eggless alternatives for a keen price.

All products are consumed at your own risk
